Key Verse: Psalm 63:1-2 “God, you are my God; I eagerly seek you. I thirst for you; my body faints for you in a land that is dry, desolate, and without water. So I gaze on you in the sanctuary to see your strength and your glory.”
This week we’ve talked about several people who waited on God. One common thread throughout the Bible is God tends to use those that seek after Him, and faithfully wait on Him. Many times the people God uses are unexpected and they are used in ways we would never have guessed. Today, spend some time reviewing your journal from this week. Spend some time earnestly seeking God, just as the Psalmist did in Psalm 63. Then be quiet, still and listen for Him to answer.
- Is there a common theme or thought that has resonated with you all week? What is it?
- Is there a passage or verse that seems to keep coming up over and over again? What is God saying to you through it?
- How are you feeling about the upcoming Christmas season? What are you looking forward to? What are you dreading?
- Ask God to show you what He wants to teach you in your waiting this week.
